In Romans 12:13, Christians are exhalted to "practice hospitality".

One effort to do this has resulted in providing a house for missionaries to use for a vacation.

This has been a continuous ministry of First Baptist Church St. Simons Island since 1991, and an average of thirty families per year use the facility.

Guests stay free-of-charge for up to seven nights. They are asked to clean the house before leaving, making it ready for the next guests, who, many times, check in later that same day.
